F1 Experts question both Ferrari and Mercedes post Lewis Hamilton's transfer news.

It's been only a few hours since the news of Lewis Hamilton's 2025 Ferrari transfer news took the world by storm. The intensity of this move can be felt in the increase in the market capital of Ferrari. Hamilton's move has undoubtedly disrupted the drivers market even more, following most of the drivers on the grid will be out of contract at the end of 2024. This gives rise to many questions and speculations.
In the recent Sky Sports F1 podcast, Experts questioned why Lewis Hamilton made this move. On which a great insight from Karun stating the move resembles the past Ferrari transfers of Vettel and Mansell after a few bad years post the career success. However, Martin Brundle wishes the driver transfer to be similar to Michael Schumacher rather than Vettel or Alonso. Nonetheless, Natalie stated that Lewis does not feel confident about Mercedes giving him a good car. Whereas Brundle feels that the decision came out of a thirst for change and new challenges in the racing career after the last few dull years.
The question of how Frederick Vasseur convinced the 7-Times world champion to join Ferrari is still unanswered. However, things are looking good for Ferrari and Tifosi. People are welcoming the move however same can't be said for Mercedes fans. In my opinion, Mercedes has taken a massive hit also I find the decision by Hamilton to be bold but I fully trust Lewis' abilities inside the car and have no doubt about him living up to his reputation. Lewis winning a championship with Ferrari will be the best thing to ever happen in F1 if it ever happens. 2009 F1 world champion Jenson Button showed massive respect to his old teammate for his bold decision to change teams and welcome new challenges and wishes him all the best.
Post Lewis' transfer news a famous statement made by Sebastián Vettel is taking up traction in the F1 community. 


Mercedes boss Toto Wolff claims to have anticipated this move by Hamilton at some point and fully respects his decision with gratitude. He also states the focus is on delivering a strong 2024 season.
