"I still have it in me!" Says Ex-Haas team principal.



Haas F1 team joined the F1 grid in 2016 with Romain Grosjean, Esteban Gutierrez as drivers and Guenther Steiner as a team principal. Guenther and Haas parted ways in 2024 after eight long years together.

In a recent interview with Sky Sports F1, Steiner claimed to not have anticipated this move by Gene Haas (owner of the team) However, he was aware of his team-principal contract ending around this time. Guenther reflects on the high points of the journey of achieving 5th place in the Constructors championship in 2018 and Kevin Magnussen's pole position in the 2022 Brazilian GP. When asked about his celebrity status overshadowing the team or owner, he said that certain people may not have liked it, but it has benefitted the team in many ways. Guenther claims to have got Moneygram as Haas' title sponsor because of his fame. When asked about the future in F1 Guenther said "In no hurry or desperation". He reflected on wanting to do things he couldn't do in ten years such as spending time with loved ones. Guenther was also optimistic about his future saying "If one door closes then at least two doors open", Stating that he'll choose his next project when the right time arrives.

Now it all comes down to seeing how the Haas F1 team progresses under the leadership of Ayao Komatsu, the new team principal of the Haas F1 team.
